Patrick Funaro, Partner & Managing Director:
he is primarily involved in the sourcing and monitoring of portfolio companies, and is in charge of investor relations. Patrick Funaro has over 13 years of in-depth experience in the industry, having created and developed Fimat activities in Brazil (one of the leading brokers in the Brazilian sugar industry), he is also the current president of the Brazillian Sugar Club. Patrick holds a BA in Business Administration and a MBA in Management of New Information Technology from University Paris-Dauphine, France.

Alberto Tamer, Partner: he is in charge of structuring and negotiating investments. He spent 4 years as MD of BankBoston Capital for Brazil and Mexico where he started BBC’s private equity business. Alberto Tamer was responsible for investing US$150 million in 11 transactions in Brazil and was directly involved in the exit of 2 main operations: Hipernet which was exited (82% IRR) and Microservice which tripled its EBITDA in 4 years. Alberto holds a BA in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV.

Cristiane Piza, Director: she is in charge of the evaluation of deals. Cristiane Piza’s expertise lies in M&A, having worked on several large restructuring operations during her time as a Vice President at Idea Capital in Brazil and as an Associate at ABN AMRO in New York. Cristiane holds a BA in Economics from UFRJ and a MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.

Flávio Bojikian, Financial Advisor: he works on the financial restructuring of the portfolio companies. Flávio Bojikian was previously the Treasury Director at Société Générale overlooking both proprietary trading and commercial banking activities in Brazil. Flavio holds a BA in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV.

Bruno Erbisti, Associate: he works alongside Cristiane Piza in the evaluation of deals and is responsible for the environmental, social and corporate governance analysis of potential portfolio companies. Bruno Erbisti was previously a SRI Analyst at ABN AMRO Asset Management, where he recommended investments for and acted as co-manager of the socially responsible investment funds in Brazil, with US$100 million in assets under management. Bruno holds a BA in Economics from PUC-Rio and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Vitor Horibe, Financial Analyst: he works alongside Cristiane Piza in the evaluation and assessment of potential portfolio companies. Vitor Horibe was previously a Financial Analyst at Angra Partners where he worked with valuations and financial advisory. Prior to that, he founded and managed a plastic industry with investment of US$ 0.7 million, and worked as management consultant at Roland Berger. Vitor holds a BA in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV.

Alexandre Aidar, Advisor: he works on the sourcing and monitoring of portfolio companies. Alexandre Aidar has over 25 years of in-depth experience in the sugar and ethanol industry, having worked as the Chief Commercial Officer of Cosan and the Commercial Director of Usina Santa Eliza. Alexandre holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from USP and a post-graduation degree in Business Administration from FGV.
